Zoey

This was taken at sunrise. If you make this the original size you can see not only me taking this picture but the sky and the top of the buildings in her eyes. She stood so perfectly still when I told her to that I couldn't believe it. I think we both were deliriously tired. Her head looks like a heart in this photo.

This is Mayah. She is my friends 9 week old sharpei puppy. When she opens her eyes they are all foggy still. She kind of looks like a mini tiger and pig mix.

Meerkats at Lincoln Park Zoo

I think these guys are just the cutest things. They take turns looking out for predators while the others eat and sleep. But at the zoo I they are out of their element and here, they were all looking out.

Beginners luck!

I got this on my third frame. It was all downhill from there. I did get a few other images, click here to see them. This was my first ever attempt to shoot lightening. I was so excited when I saw this in the viewfinder I screamed. Hope I didn't wake anyone up.

I did very minimal editing to this. Not sure what to do or if it needs any at all? Comments are welcome.

Rainbow after the rain, as seen from Diamond Head.

We had just climbed to the top of Diamond Head and it started to rain Hawaii style. Massive wind and rain. I stuck it out and 10 minutes later it was over and I had this rainbow as my reward. It was breathtaking. You don't see rainbows like this too often.
